Monitoring Process

CVSC applies this process consistently to every publication.
01

Direct Purchase

CVSC purchases products through public retail channels as a regular consumer, without disclosing CVSC's identity, to secure samples equivalent to products actually distributed in the market.

Certified Laboratory Analysis

CVSC requests testing from feed testing and inspection institutions designated under feed management regulations. The analysis is based on seven registered components of pet food and usually takes about 10 business days.

Veterinary Panel Review

CVSC's advisory veterinarian panel reviews the analysis results, checking compliance with legal labeling standards and CVSC review criteria while interpreting the veterinary significance of the component results.

Prior Brand Notice

Seven days before publication, CVSC shares the test report with the relevant brand. The brand may verify facts and submit comments, which are disclosed together on the result card.

Result Disclosure

Products that do not meet legal labeling standards or CVSC veterinary review criteria are disclosed together with the brand name. Products that meet the criteria are not disclosed separately, and results are published on a scheduled monthly date.
