[Reasons for the Component Deviation and the Importer's Position]
- The product has a valid certificate: The brand holds a feed-assay certificate from a test of the same product, conducted by an accredited institution in April.
- Possible differences depending on test method: For crude fat, the acid-hydrolysis method must be used to obtain an accurate figure; with the E.E. (ether extraction) method, results can come out lower than the actual value. We would like to ask whether the CVSC test result was measured using the acid-hydrolysis method.

Veterinary view on analysis method and deviation
We acknowledge the technical variable that a certain level of measurement difference can arise depending on the crude-fat analysis method. However, for this product, the gap between the registered component amount (≥ 13.0%) and the actual detected amount (8.51%) is too large to be regarded as simple error. -
Limits in securing a cross-verification sample due to the product being discontinued
CVSC actively accepted the brand's view and attempted to conduct a cross re-test of a product from the same manufacturing date using the same test method the brand proposed; however, because the importer had marked the product as sold out, we could not secure a sample under identical conditions and were unable to proceed with additional verification. We hope careful monitoring will continue if the product is re-distributed in the future.
